Summary/Abstract: In their paper the authors first show that the criminal procedure law is a branch of criminal law doctrine related to criminal procedure, i.e. it represents a set of legal regulations governing criminal procedure. Therefore, criminal procedure is the subject of the criminal procedure law. Then they define the notion of criminal procedure introducing two concepts that are relevant to the essence of this notion: the realistic and the legal concept of criminal procedure. In addition, this is followed by the types or forms of criminal procedure, and finally, by the subject of criminal procedure. Namely, the aim of this paper is to point out or to provide an overview of contemporary theoretical views of our authors on the basic notions related to criminal procedure.
