Essentials of the Clergy’s Homiletic Activity in Moldavia and Wallahia in Support of the Unification of the Romanian Principalities

Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Orthodox Church is a national Church, which in its specific and unique way, stands at the nation’s foundation. Thus, the religious identity of the romanian people has played an essential role in the achievement of national unity all thoroughout history. In this respect, the present paper illustrates the clerics’ omiletic activity in Moldavia and Muntenia in supporting the Unification of the Romanian Principalities. The study highlights the most important handouts, sermons and occasional allocutions of bishops and preasts from Moldavia and Muntenia in favour of the Unification.
