Summary/Abstract: The article presents and analyzes flexible (Agile) methodologies, as one of the most modern practices for software development in the context of team management in Bulgarian IT companies. Main theoretical statements are made about the features of the concept of agile project management and the impact on teamwork. Results of an online study are presented about the applicability and success of the methodology in Bulgarian companies in the information technology sector.
