Summary/Abstract: This article presents a retrospection of changes in work and employment and the relationship with industrial relations in contemporary conditions, as a means of improving employment. The new challenges to employment and industrial relations are outlined. In conclusion, some of the authors' views are outlined for the benefits and limitations of the potential negatives of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
