The process of the adaptation of Church chants in the Romanian space until the appearance of prints and Chrysantine notation

Summary/Abstract: This survey analyses an important period of an extensive process which includes the translation and the adaptation of the Greek Orthodox Church repertoires into the Romanian language. As the title suggests, the study doesn’t comprise the whole interval of time in which this phenomenon happened, but only the one from the beginning of it and up to the great Reform in the Byzantine Music (1814) and the appearance of the first prints in the Romanian idiom
