Summary/Abstract: An irrational number is a real number that cannot be written as a ratio of two integers. When an irrational number is written with a decimal point, the numbers after the decimal point continue infinitely with no repeatable pattern. We want to approximate an irrational number with a rational. A probablistic algorithm is an algorithm where result or the way the result is obtained depends on chance. These algorithms are also sometimes called randomized algorithms. In this paper we will estimate the value of number  and some other irrational numbers by using some probabilistic algorithms. The way we will do it is by a simple experiment of throwing away toothpicks on the wooden floor and shooting at the target with darts.
