Traditional Music Folklore of Horný Zemplín and its Application in Education

Summary/Abstract: Preserving the traditional culture of every nation is not only preserving its wealth but also the source of knowledge of one's own culture. The contribution points to the importance of continual incorporation of this issue into school education in order to continually renew the continuity of knowledge of the culture of one's own nation. In the survey questionnaire we discovered the interest in and knowledge of today's pupils about the folklore in their own region (Horný Zemplín).
