Lexical Innovations and Homonymy Non-Accidental (on the Example of Cycling Vocabulary)

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the homonyms formed intentionally, as well as using accidental homonymy by the language users. The first part of the paper focuses on types of lexical changes of the contemporary Polish language on the example of the cycling vocabulary (loanwords, word formations, semantic shifts). In the second part I analyse the examples of new formed homonyms as conscious language games of the users.
