Summary/Abstract: The report presents a pedagogical analysis of Bulgarian musical folklore in the secondary school (grades 5-7) systematizing folk songs for performance and music-folk works for perception (listening) in grades 5, 6 and 7. The rituals and customs, the music and folklore areas and the holidays the students study are analyzed. Information is given about the music curriculum for each class of the high school stage and a conclusion is drawn about the Bulgarian musical folklore in music education from grades 5 to 7.
