Summary/Abstract: Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore Internet of Things-enabled sustainability, big data-driven decision-making processes, and digitized mass production in Industry 4.0-based manufacturing systems. Using and replicating data from Capgemini, Forrester, Globant, Management Events, McKinsey, PAC, PwC, and Software AG, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding Internet of Things smart devices in cyber-physical manufacturing systems. Descriptive statistics of compiled data from the completed surveys were calculated when appropriate.
