Summary/Abstract: The article provides comparative analysis of the concepts of public information and public sector information. These concepts are relevant to the information created and held by the state organs and the public sector organisations. The resemblance between the two types of information is based on the content of the information, whereas the differentiation lays over the purpose of the information and the goals that it pursuits.
