Summary/Abstract: The article emphasizes the importance of the intercultural and multicultural aspects for the process of literary education. It starts with giving reasons why this subject should be included in German language literature lessons, then distinguishes 4 thematic groups important for Polish students and describes criteria of choosing texts for the lessons. The main part of the article presents the contents and discusses didactic qualities of the proposed books.
