Summary/Abstract: The texts which originated in the ‚Third Reich‘ cannot be read without the understanding of the circumstances in which they were written: already the contemporaries, facing the lack of freedom of opinion, read them ‚between the lines‘ and interpreted every word potentially loaded with a political meaning with reference to the current historical background. Long history of creating texts, also the texts including references to Polish-Slavic matters – often appearing in the contemporary writings of Horst Lange – does not allow readers to interpret them unequivocally due to numerous radical changes in the unstable German politics which from day to day could turn upside down the political meaning of the words included in a given text without the need to actually change any word in the text itself.
