Summary/Abstract: The study examines a growing group of self-employed workers, cuentopropistas emerging in Cuba, from the beginning until 2018. The analysis is based on three groups of sources: the annual reports of CEPAL (Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe, Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) and the results of surveys on the issue of cuentapropismo (2017, 2018) and the datas of the National Bureau of Statistics and Information of Cuba (Oficina Nacional de Estadística e Información, ONEI).
