Traditional death in Romanian film

Summary/Abstract: In the Romanian culture, the representation of death is dominated by the popular tradition. Thus, we explain why traditional death is, in all interdisciplinary investigations, a subject of “long-term” analysis. Thanatic traditions, cultural expressions, the presence of death as an entity, the valorizing death, but also the breaking of traditions related to the funeral rite were captured, as we hope, in this brief analysis.
