Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of the empirical research, which was carried out in the framework of the processing of PhD work focused on the theme of "History of the art and their art-scientific and kunsthistorian content in the preparation of future teachers of fine arts. Analysis, innovation and modernization". The research, which consisted of several partial components: assessment of the teaching practice itself, analysis of official documents - Information letters and evaluations of unstructured interviews carried out with teachers teaching the subject "History of art" at the faculties of education of universities in the territory of Slovakia.
