Summary/Abstract: The article traces the process of establishing the contemporary cho-reography in Burgas, the stages in the creation of a modern repertoire and in the completing of the staff. Choreographers Dimo Vrubel, Pavlina Ivanova and Hikmet Mehmedov play a role in this direction. The company has achieved new readings of established works and new performances with contemporary choreography.
