On Some Models of Media Representations of Music and Media Music Studying

Summary/Abstract: Researchers today face the challenge of new music-human and sociallife-media-technologies relationships. In ethnomusicology and anthropology of music, as well as in popular music research, we continue to look for and find adequate ways to understand music as a phenomenon of culture, society, human spirit and how it works in society. Some ideas are offered here of understanding media music and the possible approaches to its research that would form models for understanding this music consistent with its essence. They are correlated with an alternative to the subject (music); with alternative approaches to research; with integrity and hybridism.
