Summary/Abstract: The general motifs in the works of artists of the New Objectivity, one of the emblematicmovements in Weimar Germany in the 1930s, are significant to its influence and importance.Through them and through the plastic language, the subject, the charismatic character of theobjects, which are only marginally complementary to the main plot, are distinguished. Theintentional use of motifs is prominent in the artworks of painters like Kiril Tsonev, BenchoObreshkov, Christian Schad, Karl Hofer etc.
