Summary/Abstract: Based on the book by Stilyan Yotov (Habermas and the Claims of Autonomy Sofia, 2006), the paper explores his research method. It is determined as dialogical, considering the historical, cultural and generational context as conditions of possibility of this dialogue. His historical-philosophical position makes him able, through autonomy as a key concept, to assert a systemic character of Habermas's basic theory and to decipher a continuous philosophical program traced thr ough all stages of the work of the greatest German philosopher of our time.
