Summary/Abstract: The article analyses one of the creative techniques for generating in-novative ideas used by the architects at the turn of the twenty-first century. Along with techniques such as ‘copying’ and ‘association’ that borrow and interpret readymade blueprints, ‘allusion’ article analyses one of the creative techniques for generating innovative ideas used by the architects at the end of 20th and the beginning of 21st century. Along with techniques such as ‘copying’ and ‘associ-ation’ that borrow and interpret readymade blueprints ‘allusion’ opens up a new perspective in architectural form creation by introducing imaginary prototypes which have no equivalent in history and everyday life.
