Summary/Abstract: The study analyses the changes in Hungary’s demographics from the 16th to the 18th century. After outlining the medieval antecedents, it presents the changes during the Ottoman era, and then deals in detail with the events after the period of Turkish occupation (resettlement, internal migration, and the increase in the proportions of the nationalities).
