Saving and Housing Credit Banks

Summary/Abstract: Saving and housing credit banks constitute credit institutions specialized in financing the housing sector on a long term, which are subject to the Government Ordinance No. 99/2006 on credit institutions and capital adequacy. They have a legal regime which is different from that attributed to the other types of credit institutions and which is mainly provided by: general business conditions; general conditions of saving-credit contracts; the mandatory special fund; contributions of such banks to other entities; specialization of their bank activity. These banks, as well as the saving-credit contract, will be the subject of the present analysis, which uses law as main instrument.
