JEWISH WRITERS FROM NEAMT COUNTY (XIX-XX CENTURIES) -II

Summary/Abstract: A study on Jewish writers and especially on those from Neamț County might seem discriminatory, but it is not. Jews were seen and treated as unwanted foreigners, and Jewish intellectuals were not exempt from discrimination and persecution. The aim of this study is to rediscover Jewish writers, some of them unjustly forgotten, particularly on Jewish writers born in Neamț. In the second pthe paper will focus on Sergiu Dan, prose writer, translator and journalist, on one of the greatest Canadian poets, Irvinh Layton and on the father of the police and espionage novel, Haralamb Zincă. In the third part we will focus on Brunea-Fox, Solo Har-Herescu and Dorel Dorian.
