Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the interpretation of two heroes who become mythical figures of literary modernity: Don Quixote and Hamlet. Don Quixote, the sage of good intentions, allegorically sums up the utopian spirit of modernity, the experiences of so many visionaries who wanted to rebuild the world according to their ideas of what is good. Thus, Hamlet and Don Quixote prophetically focus on the demiurgic modernity that follows them and show with precision the irreversible path of the choices made by the inner man who cultivates wild heads and lets peaceful heads sleep.
