Summary/Abstract: Considered an institution with a strong impact on the masses by the doctrine and type ofbehavior imposed (humility) B.O.R. was severely criticized after the fall of communism. For B.O.R. theapproximately 50 years of communism it represents an extremely difficult period in his history, whenit was wanted to turn this institution into a state agency.The role of the Church in preserving the Christian conscience of Romanians, while it hadbeen established an extremely violent atheist policy, it was a difficult one.
