Summary/Abstract: The rules of prudential supervision have brought more success tothe efficiency of banking, which is protected from practices that could beharmful. The regulations contained in the rules applicable to the systemicensemble are recognized in the supervision through the legal relationshipbetween the supervisory authority and the credit institution. Through thelegally established principles, the National Bank of Romania develops thepotential requirements imposed on credit institutions and establishes aregular reporting in the conduct of supervisory activity. All credit institutionshave an obligation to draw up their own regulations, rules to be compliedwith and operations to be carried out only after communicating them to thesupervisory authority.
