Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the classic ballet repertoire and its transformations on smaller stages with fewer performers. Examples are provided on the basis of Burgas Opera House, established later than that in Sofia. The adaptations are considered of original stagings, mainly Russian, by choreographers Lyuba Kolchakova, Pavlina Ivanova, Hikmet Mehmedov, Petar Lukanov, Vesa Tonova, seeking to retain the classical model and at the same time taking into account the available fewer dancers.
