Summary/Abstract: The choreography and choreography stage directing borrow terms from the theatre, but also music, fine arts, and Cinematic Arts. This is how definitions like “white silence”, “pale choreography”, “multicolour music” etc., are born. Traveling from one art to another creates interesting terms and genre forms such as dram ballet (dramatic ballet), dance theatre (Tanz theatre), dance symphony, and others. Comparing the ideas of prominent theatre actors of the 20th century – Konstantin Stanislavski, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Mikhail Chekhov, highlight the similarities and differences between theatre and choreography directing, but we should not forget the specifics that are characteristic only for the choreography stage directing.
