Summary/Abstract: What are the musical preferences of today's pupils, what musical styles are they interested? What more do they prefer: active music education – singing, playing the instrument, movement – or receptive music education? What forms of music education do they prefer? These are questions asked by teachers from 14 European countries to 12-14-year-old elementary school pupils in the form of research probe. The probe was organized by the national coordinators of the European Association for Music in School. In the text, we present results from Slovak schools.
