Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the sociological interpretation of the phenomenon of suicide through the analysis of statistical data. The aim of the research was to determine the extent of differences between the entity data in relation to the official data of the State Agency for Statistics, age structure and manner of committing suicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 2005 to 2015. The research is based on reports received from relevant institutions. The test results showed a significant difference in the perception and interpretation of these data.
