Summary/Abstract: Crime is a phenomenon that is not absent from human society and does not exclude its evolution. Demography, urbanization, economic development, social change, human personality are factors that influence both variations in crime and increasing its rate. Through the topic I want to emphasize that the study of the two types of crime, female and male, allows us to determine the place of criminal and tortious acts in society, to appreciate their character and the necessary relationship with certain phenomena. economic, moral, social, in order to finally be able to look for the different means that can stop this progressive march. All over the world, women have much lower arrest rates than men for practically all categories of crimes, with the exception of a few, namely prostitution, infanticide or abortion. The questions are simple, but to which the answers are multiple: Do women not commit crimes? Is there no female crime? Through this paper I want to highlight the fact that the gender issue of crime, although recognized for a long time in the construction of crime, is sometimes not studied in such detail, referring especially to female crime. Regardless of the disciplinary field studied, there are no studies that address the issue of women's participation in crime. In writing this paper, I tried to consider the literature, studies in criminology and legal psychology, as well as statistics on the dynamics of crime, both nationally and internationally.
