Summary/Abstract: In Germany there are diverse conditions for conditional release from prison or so-called measures for rehabilitation and security such as preventive detention or placement of mentally disturbed offenders in a psychiatric institution. Prisoners can be released early: in case of good prognosis, the remainder of the sentence is suspended conditionally. This article focuses on legal procedures which allow the revocation of this decision. Special emphasis is given to recall practices.
