Summary/Abstract: The experience from 1989 to 2003 of seeking state guarantees, financing, and management of gold mining is an attempt to search for foreign capital and technology. This is not just a continuation of the tradition of the late XIX century, but a solution to the problems that arose in the 1980s. By the mid-1990s, many mining companies were among the most inefficient and polluting in the world. Today, in fact since 2006, new technologies were developed, and DPM - Chelopech is among the global leaders in gold mining technologies.
