Summary/Abstract: The review presents the volume „Mari personalităţi ale ASE – Virgil Madgearu” (Great Personalities of ASE – Virgil Madgearu) edited by professors Ion Gh. Roşca and Ovidiu Nicolescu and published by the ASE Publishing House, Bucharest, in 2011. The book contains 8 articles written by scholars from various Romanian universities (from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Galaţi, Sibiu and Timişoara) on the life and work of the first Romanian professor of management sciences, Virgil Madgearu (1887–1940).
