Summary/Abstract: The name of Arnold Lucien Montandon will remain for ever connected with the name of the „Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History, where he worked between 1896 and 1907, where could be find a large part of his great collections. His memory was glorified by Igor Sienkiewicz and Gabriela Andrei, custodians of Heteroptera collection. Even that, his overhelmed personality of this scientist, remained almost unknown for the Romanian zoologists and in the same time open new doors for those who want to study his life and his scientific work. Reading his papers, the catalogues of collections he gathered and donated for that museum, published papers appeared in numerous foreign journals, where he described more than 544 new species, we discovered a disappeared world, the world in which Arnold Lucien Montandon lived and created. We realized that in his entire scientific career Montandon knew and corresponded with a great number of world personalities from the domain of Zoology, from whom he received material for study or sent material to them, people who helped him in identifying different species of Insects (Coleoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera etc.). We tried to make a synthesis with names and scientific concerns of those we know that had contacts with Montandon. Unfortunately we didn’t find any piece of his vast correspondence with different scientific personalities from the whole world: France, England, Finland, Belgium, Hungary, USA, Ecuador etc.
