Summary/Abstract: The concept of feud appeared in the thirteenth century in the Kingdom of Hungary. Yet already in the laws of eleventh-century kings, namely Stephen, Ladislaus and Coloman, there are measures that can be exactly related to the late medieval customs dealing with the feud. The study explores such parallels.
