Summary/Abstract: This texts consists of two chapters from Szendy’s book on the (post)apocalyptical imagination. Szendy examines visions of the end of the world in several films, taking into account formal, social, philosophical and planetary aspects. He also explores these visions in terms of the different kinds of contemporary aesthetic politics. The other problem treated here is apocalyptic temporality, which focuses on the figure of the date and process of dating events.
