Summary/Abstract: The notions of infrastructure and critical infrastructure in particular are ambiguous and in most cases do not take into account the consequences of threats. The aim of the article was to present the results of research on evaluation of critical infrastructure security theory. The article presents interpretations of the notion critical infrastructure and its author's definition. It clarifies the security determinants of critical infrastructure and points to the key elements determining its security.
