Summary/Abstract: The dissertation includes information based on a study about the triptychs in the old Roman settlement of Albusnus Maior in the Roşia Montană area (Romania) discovered in the gold mines galleries, written in Latin on a base made of three fir tablets, waxed on the inner sides, and including legal documents. In the authors' opinion, the archeological sites in the Roşia Montană area are of exceptional importance to the national and European history and juridical culture and, by way of consequence, should be categorized as “values of the national cultural heritage” and protected and turned to good account in all possible ways, including scientific research per se.
