Summary/Abstract: This paper is about sharing history in a post-conflict society, as viewed from the perspective of the teaching of history. Through analyses of the referenced articles and reports, it discusses history teaching as one of the tools of transitional justice. It goes on to review the successful case of sharing history through the Franco-German textbook project, but only from the aspect of the media coverage and comment. Finally, the paper examines the Macedonian case related to the topic, drawing on the findings of other scholars, the response of Macedonian media to the joint history textbook project of the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation of Southeast Europe, as well as materials from interviews conducted by the author of this paper.
