ACCESSIBILITY OF LIBRARIES IN PODDĘBICE DISTRICT BY FOOT, BICYCLE AND CAR

Summary/Abstract: The article provides an assessment of accessibility of libraries in Poddębice district by foot, bicycle and car. Single-family and multi-family residential buildings are presented in areas delimi-ted by isochrones: 0–5 minutes, 5–10 minutes and 10–15 minutes from libraries. Their accessibili-ty has been analysed using, among others, data from OpenStreetMap resource and WMS network service presenting the Actual Topographic Objects Data Base. The research found that pedestrian and bicycle accessibility of libraries is best in Uniejów municipality, while accessibility by car is best in Dalików, Poddębice and Zadzim municipalities, where each resident can reach a library using this means of transport.
