Translation in the Legal Field and Documenting Skills. Proposals for a Classification of Documenting Sources for Spanish-to-Romanian Translators

Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on documentation as a field of study and as a fundamental competence that translates into the use of specific translation strategies while, at the same time, constituting an actual stage of the translation process. The paper starts with a literature review of the main concepts and it includes a proposal of different classifications of documentation sources useful for translators in the legal field in the Spanish-Romanian combination based on what can be considered as their needs.
