Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the monograph Mapy romantyków by Dorota Siwicka in the light of her earlier works about the connections between Romantic poetry and place, and Romantic culture and geography. This critical reading includes the contemporary, especially literary, interest in spatial studies. The article reviews Siwicka’s interdisciplinary work, characterizes her selection of maps and dissertations, and concentrates, among other categories, on the concept of “cartographic pact”, which is an instrument for mapping Romantic authors.
