Summary/Abstract: Despite the hypotheses and theories, countless already, which claim that Benjamin Compson would be an imago Christior that he’s closer to the animal kingdom, rather than the human one, Faulkner introduces himin the middle of ”his” family projected in the novel, as son, brother, and after all, simply as a human. Through the character that opens the narrative flows of the novel we get access to a world, with its own family customs, in which sometimes the gestures conceal, as well as the eyes have the ability to distort the essence of the truth. The debut ofthe novel, beyond Benjy’s inner flow, is marked by a few details that become relevant when it is discussed the perception, imaginary and the differences occurred in the register of meanings.
