Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the current conditions and challenges concerning the country's penitentiary system from the perspective of the possible transference of violent extremist ideologies from some convicts, particularly returnees from foreign fronts, to other prisoners. It reveals to what extent psychologists and other professionals involved in the process of resocialization are equipped with skills and tools for assessing the risk of personal violent radicalization, or for monitoring the progress of the convicted individuals in their rehabilitation.
