Summary/Abstract: In this specially prepared section of East European Politics and Societies, three of us take up the difficult, indeed almost impossible task of trying to understand the changes taking place in Hungary today and forecast the future. (All three articles obviously have implications for the whole of the region, but none of us is overreaching in our remarks).
