Summary/Abstract: As the topic of my dissertation, I have chosen the friendship formed between Italy and Hungary following World War I, especially focusing on the establishment of several companies through combined forces especially in the 30's. After the borders were altered as signed in the Treaty of Trianon, and the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy fully disintegrated, Italy's foreign policy had one of many goals: to gain influence on the Danube area. Since the new borders were similarly dissatisfactory to Italy as to Hungary, the two parties began to cooperate more. They signed the Treaty of 1927 on Friendship, Mediation and Arbitration, due to which fascist Italy advanced to become an important trading partner to Hungary.
