Summary/Abstract: South Africa had its famous oppressive political system, which divided its population according to the colour of skin: the apartheid. This ideology was the official state ideology between 1948 and 1994, however, the political thought of this white supremacy had deeper roots in history of this country. Although the pro-apartheid National Party was not a Fascist one, and the extremely far-right or National Socialist elements did not enjoy enormous support apart of society in the examined period, the fascism and national socialism had a remarkable impact in daily politics of South Africa. Building of Afrikaner nation was completed in the end of 1930s. This study is about to demonstrate the Fascist and National Socialist impacts in South African politics, why the political mindset of white population shared similarities with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, but never elected a Fascist party to govern.
