Not only exhibition. About the museum ways of popularizing ethnological education and about the history of some project

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issues related to museum education in the context of creating projects covering various forms of activities combined with common themes. In the first part of the text, the author justifies the need to organize such activities, quoting the state-ments of researchers and educators. In the second part, she describes an example of a „good practice”, analyzing activities associated with the project: Not only “petanka”.... In the circle of regional embroidery. developed and executed by the employees of the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Łódź and the Łódź Centre of Culture in cooperation with se-lected three regional museums of the Łódź Province. The author highlights not merely the complexity and effectiveness of the adopted methods and tasks, but also the good results of long-term cooperation between the institutions involved in the project. The article ends with a review of the exhibition which served as a summary of the whole project.
